Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Whether you are a single mom or have a partner to accompany you during this process, every woman deserves ample  support through the journey of pregnancy, labor, and birth.  As a doula, I provide ongoing physical, emotional, and informational assistance to mothers and their partners. Every woman is different, and therefore every labor and birth is different.  I am deeply committed to the personal choices each woman makes and I focus on assisting her in having an optimal birth experience, however she defines it.

The main tenets of my practice are to:

1)    First and foremost, assist and support mother and partner in having the birth that they want, free of judgment and external pressure. 

2)    Facilitate effective and non-adversarial communication with medical personnel to provide accessible information, enabling mother and partner to make informed and empowered decisions.  

3)   When a partner is present and wants to be involved in the labor and delivery process, I aim to minimize my own presence and provide the partner with the necessary tools and/or insight to be the primary support for the laboring mother.
